Jo Arnold
Diploma of Occupational Therapy

Joanne (Jo) is an occupational therapist who initially started her career working as a staff Occupational Therapist at Rotorua Hospital in orthopaedics, medical (including stroke and brain injury rehabilitation) and surgical fields. She briefly worked in community mental health in Auckland, before moving into injury prevention consultancy in 1994. Since then she has worked predominantly in work rehabilitation and occupational health. She is an accomplished musician and has played in a number of bands and orchestras, as well as performing in local musical shows.

Janet Wilkinson

Masters of Health Science

Janet originally trained as a physical educator in Dunedin before undertaking her physiotherapy training. She has since completed a Master of Health Science degree at AUT and remains very focused on the use of activity and exercise prescription to rehabilitate her clients. She lived and worked in England for some years, growing this experience, and outside of work “walks the talk”, having been a solo participant the Taupo Ironman in 2007.

Carol Turner
BSc Physiotherapy

Carol is a physiotherapist who initially worked in South Africa in private practice, and also in the field of chronic pain. Since living and working in New Zealand, she has continued to specialise in chronic pain management, as well as rehabilitation for work-related injuries. Outside of work Carol is passionate about waka ama, and has represented New Zealand at several world championships, bringing home several medals.

Gae Stevenson

Post Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health (Otago)

Gae is an experienced Registered Nurse who has spent 20 years working in various areas of Tauranga Hospital. She moved into Occupational Health six years ago and is an enthusiastic health advisor. Along with occupational health assessments, Gae can provide cardiac risk assessments, Green Prescriptions and smoking cessation assessments. She has been an elected member of the Bay of Plenty District Health Board and is a current director of the Tauranga YMCA. Outside of work, Gae is a keen tennis player and skier and is involved with the management of rowing and water polo teams.
